Salt Lake MT Exterior

Welcome Sir Knights, Companions, Brethren and Guests to the sixth-annual Western States Easter Observance, hosted by the Grand Encampment of Knights Templar and the Grand Commandery of Utah. This marks the very first year that Utah has the privilege and honor of sponsoring this memorable event. To commemorate this august occasion, we will be honored to have our Grand Master join with us in rejoicing our risen Lord and Savior. We will also be graced by our Right Eminent Grand Prelate who will delivered his Easter homily. The Easter Observance will be held in the auditorium of the historic Salt Lake City Masonic Temple, located just a couple of minutes away by shuttle or automobile.

Accommodations will be at the Hotel RL by Red Lion, which offers 100% completely renovated rooms and common areas, and in close proximity to many local attractions, restaurants and shopping areas. Knights Templar from the Western States are encouraged to attend this Grand Encampment event. It is a great fraternal opportunity in Chivalric Masonry that is focused on our Savior rather than the business of the Craft.

We have scheduled events for Friday, April 14th, Saturday, April 15th, and Sunday, April 16th. The Hotel RL will honor the reduced room rate of $99/night offered to us for any days between April 13th and April 16th so long as reservations are placed on or before the hotel cutoff date of March 24rd. On Saturday, there will be a no-host cocktail reception at 6:00pm followed by the banquet at the hotel, starting at 7:00pm. Sunday, we will start the Easter Observance at 8:00am in the auditorium of the Salt Lake Masonic Temple. This will be followed by an Easter Morning Brunch at the Hotel RL from 10am until 1pm.
